Ryan Androsoff
Deputy Director and Product Lead, Co-Founder
The Canadian Digital Service
Ryan Androsoff is an international expert on digital government and a passionate advocate for the transformation and modernization of the public sector through the use of digital technology and user-centric design approaches. Ryan is a Co-Founder of the recently launched Canadian Digital Service and is serving as its Deputy Director and Product Lead. Previously he had been a Senior Advisor in the Government of Canada’s Treasury Board Secretariat since 2010, where he worked on initiatives to improve digital service delivery capacity across the federal government, led the development of the first government-wide social media policies, and managed the GCTools team responsible for the Government of Canada’s internal on-line collaborative platforms (GCpedia and GCconnex). In 2015 Ryan took a one-year assignment with the OECD in Paris, France where he was involved in a number of digital government projects including reviews in Northern Ireland, Slovakia, and Morocco as well as open data capacity building in the Latin American and MENA regions. Ryan is a graduate of the Harvard Kennedy School of Government in Cambridge, Massachusetts where he earned a Master in Public Policy degree. Ryan also has an Honours degree in Public Affairs and Policy Management from Carleton University in Ottawa.

Hillary Hartley
Chief Digital Officer, Province of Ontario
Hillary is the Chief Digital Officer for the province of Ontario. As the Deputy Minister for Digital Government, she leads the Ontario Digital Service, a team of designers, developers, and product specialists tasked with making government digital services easy for the people of Ontario.
Previously, Hillary was the Deputy Executive Director of 18F, the U.S. government’s digital office, and a former Presidential Innovation Fellow. She was also previously the Director of Integrated Marketing at NIC Inc., which helps state and local governments embrace new internet-based technologies and approaches necessary for government modernization. She has extensive expertise in technology, digital strategy, design thinking, and public engagement.
As Ontario’s Chief Digital Officer, she will partner with government ministries in delivering major digital projects. Hillary will also help accelerate transformation across government by setting new service standards for digital products, attracting and empowering digital talent, and aligning partners around delivering the best possible customer experience.

Gabe Sawhney
Executive Director, Code for Canada
Gabe is an experience designer, creative technologist and innovation strategist. He uses design and technology to address creative, civic and business challenges. He’s a pioneer in the Canadian civic tech community, helping co-found Civic Tech Toronto and launch Code for Canada.
