Founder, Fail Forward
Ashley Good, founder of Fail Forward, the world’s first failure consultancy, supports people and organizations to acknowledge, create and evolve from failure. A winner of the Harvard Business Review/McKinsey Innovating Innovation Challenge, Fail Forward helps businesses, funders and non-profits harness their failures to learn, innovate and build resilience. Before launching Fail Forward, Ashley worked in Cairo with the United Nations Environment Programme and as a management consultant in Vancouver. Ashley has received coverage in a wide range of media and news outlets, including Harvard Business Review, Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, and Fast Company.
Chief Digital Officer, Province of Ontario
Hillary is the Chief Digital Officer for the province of Ontario. As the Deputy Minister for Digital Government, she leads the Ontario Digital Service, a team of designers, developers, and product specialists tasked with making government digital services easy for the people of Ontario.
Previously, Hillary was the Deputy Executive Director of 18F, the U.S. government’s digital office, and a former Presidential Innovation Fellow. She was also previously the Director of Integrated Marketing at NIC Inc., which helps state and local governments embrace new internet-based technologies and approaches necessary for government modernization. She has extensive expertise in technology, digital strategy, design thinking, and public engagement.
As Ontario’s Chief Digital Officer, she will partner with government ministries in delivering major digital projects. Hillary will also help accelerate transformation across government by setting new service standards for digital products, attracting and empowering digital talent, and aligning partners around delivering the best possible customer experience.
Dr. Gavin Armstrong
Founder and President of Lucky Iron Fish™
Dr. Gavin Armstrong is committed impact entrepreneur. He is currently serving as the Founder and President of Lucky Iron Fish™, a social enterprise attempting to alleviate iron deficiency around the world using a simple health innovation. Through this role he was a Fulbright scholar at Auburn University and was awarded the prestigious Forbes 30 Under 30 in the Social Entrepreneur category in 2016. In 2017 he received the Muhammad Ali Humanitarian Award, and was named ‘Social Entrepreneur of the Year’ by EY.
